Its that time of year again for us to run our one and only road trial - The John MacDonald trophy trial. This is our premier trial of the year and this year it’s been given extra significance. Earlier this year we received the sad news that John had passed away in tragic circumstance. So we’ve really pushed the boat out to make this the best John MacDonald trial so far and after last years belter that will take some doing. We’ve made major changes to the route with a brand new start/finish area ( no gates, honest) and 9 new sections at a new venue.
We’ve also got a sponsor for the trial - Deeside Autos, who will be supplying new trials tyres to the winners.
Camping again will be available at the Wild Boar, Wincle - at very reasonable rates. Our normal excellent caterers Tegan and Paul will be on hand to supply the bacon butties and much more . The trial starts at 9:30, entries are already pouring in they close 16th October As normal we will have 20 sections or more to be ridden over -2 laps all will have 2 routes and we will also be doing a 50/50 route.

THANK YOU to all who contributed to the successful running of yesterday's trial...the setting out team, all observers, landowners - you know who you are! The trial ran very smoothly thoughout the day, good feedback was heard and everyone left with a smile on their face. Even the weather was kind to us! The new venue proved to be a hit - let's hope we can repeat the same next year! We've noticed the forum has been extremely quiet lately......let's have some feeback (positive or negative) from riders who participated yesterday, in fact anyone who was there ......no use patting ourselves on the back - we need to know if we are getting it right. So come on let's hear your views!

First time I have ridden the John MacDonald trial for a few years and really enjoyed it, sections where well thought out and all "cleanable" without being to easy. The route markers where pretty good just one or two places where we searched for directions. Seems a shame only 5 riders did the hard course, perhaps a few that would have done where recovering from the Scott the day before?
Summary great day out, can't wait for the Northern Experts next month.
