I really enjoyed myself observing at the Saturday Evening Trial. Do people not realise what a laugh you can have by observing a section? The riders gave me plenty of amusement In fact, had I been walking round and not observing, I probably would have missed all the action !!! Great trial, well done to the setting out team, although it was a little on the difficult side (so I am told). Hopefully I'll see you all at the Wednesday evening trial (30th July 08, Peak Forest - 6pm start).

Now then Judochop, totally agree, observing can be a lot of fun, I observed at the Dead easy at Haslin yesterday and had a cracking day out and laughed a lot. No pressure and a good set of competitors, walked to my section well in advance of the riders, set up my chair, flask etc then at the last minute realised I'd left the bloody observer board on top of my car!! So I walked back and got the board then Iain Robinson gave me a lift back to the section on his Montesa 4 stroke; "go steady Iain" I said, (pointless comment!!) Iain promptly gave it full throttle and then deliberately aimed at all the tall thistles and it was a painful but thankfully short ride back! (Not as painful as what I've got planned for Iain though!!) Lovely weather and even got a free view of the racing at High Edge too. Enjoyed the Man17 trial the previous evening too, good days sport and a laugh although the psycho observer at Section 8 laughed her head off if you dabbed or fell off!! Wonder who that was. Observing, its the future! Eiger
