And camping is available on the Saturday night at the back of the Wild Boar pub just a few hundred yards from the start. The beer and food is superb and you can usually find some local lads who you can take money from as easy as owt on the pool table they are called hipwell or summat similar. They camped last yearbut you could not get any sleep as they snored louder than a V8 on ethanol!!

Forgive me I may be wrong. I seem to recall that monst of the snoring was coming from a small tent pitched close to the Hipwell van? ?!! Yea, forgot to mention the pub bit!! I will be based at the pub for the whole weekend (Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday nights), so feel free to pop in and buy me a pint Last year, the Saturday night was very entertaining.! I'm sure there wil be a performer booked for the night ( I didn't meant the Hipwell bros!!). So please all, feel free to go to the Wild Boad for some food n a couple of local beverages!

Well I hope that the majority of riders enjoyed last weekends John MacDonald trial. The 1st group of sections were very muddy and wet (like they were in the middle of summer!) but hopefully the rest were a little more ridable??!!
Just been looking through some of the photos Bill took from the trial. It would seem that rider number 43 was experiencing a few problems on section 21 and was under the impression that even though the bike is on the floor without him, that the observer should still award a 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
If you have any comments/complaints abou the trila please feel free to email Bill directly (only joking!) It would be good to hear your thoughts, whether they be good or bad
Cheers
Ben

My lad said it was a cracking day out, just cheesed off I couldn't ride, would have enjoyed a few pints and a steak on the Saturday then a good days sport Sunday. A lot of work went into the day and there are a few people who deserve a mention - Bill, Terry, John, Gail, Mr Dale, John and Dan Turnock, Mike, Andy and anyone else I've forgotten to mention. Oh yes and Mr and Mrs Miles, all of the observers, and !. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . the coordinator and trials kingpin of the club - Ben - who spent a great deal of his own time planning things and setting out, even emailing the route plan to the riders. Well done pal, tremendous effort. ;D
